Stacy's Stromboli Recipe
Using 1 Pillsbury Pizza Dough Tube or your own bread dough, roll it out (oblong) on a lightly floured surface. Brush small amounts of mustard over dough. Take 2 or more slices of American cheese, broken in half, and lay on top of mustard. Feel free to use more if you like lots of cheese. On top of the cheese lay 6 or more slices of Salami and 1/2 lb. of chipped ham. Place 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the salami and ham. Fold the dough over and seal the edges. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle oregano on top. Poke holes on top of dough to vent and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, or until top is slightly brown. Enjoy!
This recipe has become a Victor favorite thanks to Stacy and her mom Claudette. I made this last week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We prefer to just use the ham and leave out the salami, but according to Stacy, that's not real Stromboli. You can also cut your dough in half, making sure the ingredients are on both halves, fold and seal both dough halves, and then crisscross the two halves in order to get the above design/picture. Stacy, I took the picture below for you. By the way, thanks for letting me borrow your t-shirts.
