Christmas 2010

Christmas was a bit different for us this year, as we celebrated it in Virginia for the first time. The baby's due date is January 8th, so we chose to stay at home. The Messinger parents came and celebrated Christ's birth with us and we had some friends from church over for Christmas dinner. It was an enjoyable time with family and friends, as well as, reflecting on God's gift to us, Jesus. Also, Joy is 38 weeks pregnant in this picture and about ready to pop.

Maverick got two presents this year, one was his 14'' bone, and the other was a stuffed duck. Below is a picture of him opening his duck. We told him to find his present under the tree, which he did, and then he opened it very slowly. This was the second time he got to open his present. A few weeks ago, while we were away, he sniffed out his present and chewed it open. He didn't touch the other presents under the tree, just his. Who knew dogs could be so smart?
