In the Bible, we found several verses on discipline and how important it is in a child's life. If we take any advice we should take God's, right? We fear that our Country and its parents have quickly gotten away from this wisdom. We wonder why our children are spoiled, disrespectful, disobedient, etc... Maybe it's not entirely their fault, maybe it's ours?
Proverbs 13:24 ~ Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.
Hebrews 12:11 ~ For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Proverbs 22:6 ~ Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 23: 13-15 ~ Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die. Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death.
Proverbs 19: 18 ~ Discipline your son, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death.
